Καλό Πάσχα- Happy Easter from the Dogs and volunteers at the KEPZ shelter in Corfu. In Corfu today it is Good Friday. Tomorrow, Saturday, people living in Corfu traditionally throw earthenware pots painted red and usually full of water out of their upstairs windows at precisely 11am. If it wasn't for lock down the town of Corfu would be thronged with people this evening, while various Philharmonias playing their instruments and march through the streets to mourn the death of Christ. Sadly both last year and this year these important events have been cancelled.
On a happier note, today I was able to send an order to a builder in Corfu to start work on some of the most important jobs at the shelter including replacing the roofs. This could not have been done without the generosity of everyone who has given towards the project. Thank you all so much. We do still need funds to put in new fencing, and I hope with all the love people have sent to the shelter we will be able to get the runs properly fenced in eventually. Today it was warm and sunny in Corfu and one of the dogs was a bit hot so they were going to give him a shower, but as you can see he had so much fun with the water. Enjoy.
