Flo nearly goes to Britten. 22 March 2020

Hey all our friends in Blogland,

we is Samson and Delilah the Minions that live on the fabulous green island of Corfu with an old lady called the Missus that follows us around with a mop and bucket all day. It seems The Missus and her hubby, The Boss Dog with the furry face, come from a far off land called Britten an’ it is always raining there and freezin’ cold, so they come to Corfu to get warm. The other day we got all excited because our friend Flo, who is a big black dog, woz told she was going to her furever home in Britten. She din’ have enything to pack as she had been homeless before she came to live with us. A nice man and lady took Flo in a van on a big boat to the Greek mainland to catch anuvva even bigger boat. We were so happy for Flo as she has had a very sad life. She and her sista Bonnie woz livin’ on a piece of waste land in Corfu and they both had lots of babies, but were hungry with no food. Then this nice man called Steve found them an' gave them food and found places for the puppies to go, but there was no room for Flo an Bonnie. He took them to the Vet and got them ‘jected against all the nasty bugs, and had them made so they didn’t have to have lots more babies. He also found them forever homes in Britten but couldn’t find a way to get them there as everyone woz busy. Steve had to go home from his holiday but Aunty Theda kept giving them food every day. Steve flew back to Corfu several times, but each time Flo, or Bonnie, or both did not want to go. But then one day Bonnie disappeared and Steve wos very worried about her. So Flo came to live with us so she din’ disappear too. So we were sad to see Flo leave but happy for her that she would have a lovely home and never worry about food enymore. She has really thick fur so the cold in Britten wouldn’t bovver her. Then, would you believe it, the nice man and lady who took Flo on her trip to Britten woz told they could not get on the big boat to Italy because Flo wasn’t freight! We don’t know wot is Freight? So Flo had a nice trip out and came back to live with us again. These hoomans do the most odd things don’ they?
