Goodness doesn’t time fly? Here we is agen Samson an’ Delilah the puppies in Corfu wot is growing every day. Samson and Luna both weigh 13.2 kilos and Lilah 12 kilos. Hehe did you see that Samson has caught up with Luna? Now she won’t be bossing him about eny more, even though she is one munf older. She still tries though. The Missus sez Sammy is goin’ to be a big boy and will be a faithful hound, wotever that is.

We is curious about our hoomans. Algy and Bertie sez they used to go out in the evenings and have fun an’ eat in Tavernas an’ stuff but that all stopped wiv lockdown. So now they wotch TV in the evenings and drink red ribena juice. Wot is that about? They used to wotch depressing stuff like Hancock’s half hour but Flo the big black dog kept stopping them so they wotch uvva fings like films. They seems to like Films wot are about hoomans going into space. The story is always the same. Brave Hoomans go on impossible missions to Mars or Venus or the Moon, it doesn’t matter which. They spend billions of hooman money making these machines an’ then the machines or the ‘puters go wrong, or an alien beams on board, an the hoomans inside have to use their clever heads to sort it out so they can get back to Earth. It’s not as if hoomans know much about Space enyway. The first living being known to earth that went into outer space wos a dog. Her name wos Laika and on November 3 1957 she was aboard Sputnik-2 which didn’t have a way to get back to earth, and so she died up in space, and after a long time her capsule crashed back down to earth. Peeps were very upset that no-one thought to bring her back safe and well. In Britten where the Boss an’ Missus come from there wos huge protests about it so they made sure they didn’t send a dog into space agen wivout her coming back. So dogs is brave too although Laika didn’t have much choice in the matter. If it wosn’t for her an’ the uvva dogs and monkeys that went into space no hoomans would have gone into space neiver. So Hoomans have a lot to thank doggies for. So why do they dream ‘bout going into Space wen there’s no chance of ever exploring space in their lifetime? We finks there is more to this. P’rhaps it’s escapism. We don’t know cos we’re only little.
