Fairies and Escape Tunnels. 23 May 2020

Hi all you hoomans out in Blogland, we is Samson an Delilah wot are puppies living temporary in a little house in Corfu while we is waitin’ for someone to adopt us. We has been busy as always. The Escape Committee has renewed it’s efforts to get under the perimeter fence, and we has got a good way in to the tunnel, but now we has grown almost too big for it so we will have to dig sum more. We is finking the idea of us digging to go to Australia is silly so we plan to get under the fence and then wen the Missus, who follows us around all day wiv a mop and bucket, is writing stuff on the ‘puter, we will squish through the tunnel and then make a run for it. Then no more house training for us!

We has fairies in our garden.

Yes there really is fairies out there. We is keeping it a secret ‘cos hoomans don’t belive in fairies. They say it’s make belive, but we have sene them wiv our own eyes. They is frighted of Hoomans so only come out at night. ‘Cos they can’t see too well in the dark they carries little lights wiv them and fly around all over the place. If you looks carefully you can see their lights flashing on and off. They are so pretty. But keep it a secret pleese, we don’t wont anyone to find out about them.

Algy, the big dog dosn’t like the fairies, he sez they are aliens from outa space, coming to invade earth. He has been wotching too many sci fi movies on the telly wiv the hoomans. He keeps barking at them all night an so the hoomans have to get him indoors to get some peace and quiet. Wot is that about?

We know a poem about this:

There are fairies in our garden, They carry little flashing lights, They don’t fly in the afternoon, You can only see them at nights

Big dog Algy doesn’t like them, Says they are aliens from space, At night he barks loudly at ‘em, ‘Cos he is a flaming nutcase.

The Missus finks we don’t know what an Iambic Tetrameter is! She sez the fairies are Fireflies. Wot is she on about?
